I really liked the location of this place! It's super close to shops and restaurants, plus you can easily get to the city center and Bondi Junction. The building itself has a charming old-school vibe, and my room was stylishly decorated and comfy enough for a short stay. The free street parking was a nice bonus too!
Now for the not-so-great stuff. The room was tiny, like, seriously cramped! And good luck if you’ve got heavy luggage—there’s no lift, and I had to lug my suitcase upstairs. The bathroom was also super small, and the lack of variety in pillows was a bit annoying.

Quirky place, clean, newly remodelled rooms and extremely helpful staff. Units with a good bed. Convenient and absolutely perfect location to Royal Randwick Racecourse. Good restaurants. Wonderful experience there.
Wi-Fi was very limited.

The gorgeous courtyard at the rear of the hotel stands out. It's located on a quiet residential street.
The room felt cramped and poorly lit, with minimal amenities-only a rail for clothes and no drawers for unpacking. The bathroom was a letdown, with condensation issues that kept towels damp and made mirrors nearly unusable. The shower had frequent dripping from the ceiling.

nice quiet location in a representative old house in a good shape, street front rooms are big and spacious
no service during long term stay, staff is providing the absolutely minimum service in a quite rough and unfriendly manner, beside the booking receipt printed invoices cannot be provided

A Wonderful Experience in Randwick
I was eager to explore the Bondi to Coogee walk and chose St Marks solely for its proximity to this beautiful coastline. I was pleasantly surprised by the friendly Guest Services team available seven days a week, who made our stay even more enjoyable. The numerous cafes, restaurants, and grocery stores within walking distance provided us with endless dining options. The room itself was well-equipped with a television, tea and coffee facilities, and a kitchenette, giving us a homely feel during our visit.
The only minor downside was the limited parking available on-site, which required a bit of planning to ensure we found a spot nearby.

Away from the main street, quiet but still in easy access to shopping and food areas.

Randwick is a great place to stay if you want to visit Sydney. St Marks Lodge was good for the price, and convenient. Very nice street too.
Bed could be a queen size rather than a double.

The hotel had a charming, bright ambiance with nice furnishings.
I faced a few issues . The air conditioning was inconsistent, causing drips on my bed at times. I found the bathroom a bit cramped, uncomfortable for me. My experience didn't meet expectations, especially considering the price I paid for the stay.

Close proximity to the restaurants for a good inexpensive meal , easy access to the beaches & Randwick Races .
We found the shower recess door didn't close fully so the water sprayed onto the floor soaking the bath mat .Also we were suprised that there weas no provision to change the towels during our 3 day stay , which has always been available at othet motels / lodges we have stayed at . Our friends room had no breakfast bowls for them to use & we had only 1 bowl .

Comfortable Stay with Friendly Vibes
The room was impeccably clean, with a cozy bed, made it easy to relax. A tip , consider rideshare options for easier travel since parking can be tricky in the bustling area. I had a lovely experience overall!

I was impressed with the cleanliness, excellent value for money. There was a common room with microwaves, toaster and sandwich press.
There wasn't a powerpoint in the bathroom, so you can't use your gadgets (hairdryers, straighteners etc) in front of the mirror (in a single room at least). No frills - bring your own shampoo and soap.

Not exactly what I expected
The hotel is well maintained with comfy beds! I particularly loved the little touches like providing umbrellas when it rained 🌧️.
The lack of staff after hours and no breakfast option left a gap in the experience.
